Carlos Perez

Carlos Perez began his Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) career as an Industrial Hygienist/Compliance Officer for US Department of Labor (OSHA). He later moved into industry, where he held a number of key EHS positions in various Rochester manufacturing sites and operations in Latin America, the United States and Asia. Other leadership roles included a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant start-up, corporate assessment program, and global customer support.

He has extensive experience providing safety program development, training in EHS subjects, OSHA and environmental regulatory compliance audits and evaluations of occupational health exposure. He specializes in developing practical sustainability programs for medium sized businesses.

He is an advisor to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as a member of the National Advisory Committee (NAC) to the North American Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC).

Carlos holds a BS from the University of Puerto Rico, an MS in Environmental Toxicology from the University of Rochester School of Medicine, and an MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

He is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Portuguese.
